Big Pine Arts Information

There are so many artists living the the Florida Keys that Big Pine has become a melting pot for all different kinds of art and culture. The Big Pine area has attracted eco oriented creative types from all over the world to explore their artistic abilities in this beautiful eco -friendly setting. Big Pine Key is populated by many talented painters, sculptors, and artists. Surrounded by such a beautiful environment, its no surprise that Big Pine become a great source of their inspiration. Luckily for us, much of their work can be viewed her in Big Pine.
Artists in Paradise Gallery was created in 1994 by 14 Florida Lower Keys artists. They were able to lease a storefront for one week in the Big Pine Shopping Center. They scrubbed, painted, hammered and nailed and had an opening reception. They were overwhelmed by the community approval and patronage. They quickly began looking for a more permanent location and have evolved into the going concern you see today. The 14 artists have become 30 or more and the mediums are constantly changing as is the artwork.
What could be a better reminder of your Big Pine trip then a beautiful piece of artwork to admire and share with family and friends.
